"How about another meat dish?", the middle-aged man with a beer belly and husky voice asked as we were ordering for dinner at The Venue. "Beef, venison, chicken, pork ribs, pork belly...?" he further inquired.

I sensed hesitation by the looks of the important people who were to make this decision, my parents.

In my mind, I was going "Prawn, prawn, prawn?". Testing the strengths of my telepathy skills, not daring to speak up to suggest a pricey, not often ordered dish by the family.

"How about prawn?", my mum finally said.

Hallelujah! Haha. Great satisfaction was in store, though the wait was long. This finally arrived after the vegetable and tofu dish....

Oh it has been far too long, too many months since I've had prawns this good. The size of prawns normally found in KL, sigh, I rather just not eat prawn there. And this prawn was such a breeze to deshell, making the eating process just that much more enjoyable. Boo to the prawns at Annual Dinner, so much for making people look so unrefined eating prawns with their hands at a 5 star hotel because the prawn so hard to deshell.

On to other matters, hasn't it been some time since you last seen me here? Oh yea, I forgot to mentioned, I'm back in Kuching. Just in case you couldn't gather that from what I just wrote above. I am currently rotting and this has been my most anti-social week for this year so far. Internet has been keeping me alive, and no complaints so far. Thanks to SNS for making me appreciate fast internet connection. After months of not being able to p2p or video stream properly, say hello to my two new best friends, YouTube and Limewire! Yes, I'm officially a lost cause, hermit with a shell I call home.

Initial thoughts when adapting to staying at home as opposed to uni:
Fridge with food! No need to worry about people stealing my food! Wow, cold milk!!! Cold milk and cereal, WOW!!
Washing machine that needs no coins to operate, yay!
Streamyx! (Already explained above)
TV that I don't have to fight with to watch what I want and has proper ASTRO, wah...
Pretty pretty, sweet smelling flowers in the garden. Mmm... gardenia, jasmine
Hello bed... Zzzzz..

Chocolate is good... Ta Kiong Supermarket has an amazing range of Australian and NZ chocs. These were smaller sized bars instead of the usual huge ,sinful family-sized bars, perfect.

Yes, essentially it was like I just emerged from a jungle into civilisation. Am not missing KL too much, yet. Am missing Semenyih, not. Except maybe for the fresh air and breezy nights. Am missing uni friends, a lot.

Okay, holiday plans? Argh, it'll wait till June. Haha. Procastinators unite, tomorrow!

Yes, so affordable! Only around RM7 for a good-sized bar of indulgence. Oooh. As opposed to the one we saw at the Gardens.
